APPLICATION & REMOVAL

What happens if the press-on nails do not attach properly?

If press-on nails do not attach properly, it can mean that the nails will start to loosen quickly. Follow the installation instructions carefully and make sure the nails are properly prepared, the press-on nails are the correct size, and that there is enough glue when installing.

Can I remove press-on nails at any time?

We recommend removing glue-applied press-on nails after at least 2 weeks of wear, and sticker-applied nails after at least 24 hours of wear. When removing the nails, please folllow the instructions on the packaging.

Are Glowberry nails reusable?

Yes, Glowberry press-on nails are reusable if properly cared for. After each use, any adhesive/sticker residue should be removed from the nails to ensure long-lasting durability. We recommend filing the adhesive residue smooth with the included nail file before reapplying. You can remove the sticker residue using the included cuticle pusher.

How do I apply my new Glowberry nails?

Step 1: Preparation

Preparing your nails is an important step to make sure your press-on nails stay on for as long as possible. Don't worry, it's easy and quick to do!

  1. To begin, gently push back your cuticles using a cuticle stick and shape your nails by filing them down.
  2. Choose the best fitting press-on nails by holding them above your natural nails and selecting the ones that have the most appropriate fit.
  3. Gently buff your natural nails using the nail fliler provided in the Glowberry kit.
  4. To ensure proper adhesion, use the alcohol wipe included in the kit to thoroughly wipe all of your nails, removing any natural oils.

Step 2: Choose Adhesive Method

Option 1) Nail Glue (Longer term wear)

  • Apply an even layer of liquid glue to natural nails and the back of the press-ons for long-term wear.
  • Be careful when handling the glue as it bonds quickly, try to avoid getting it on your fingers.

Option 2) Sticky Tabs (Short-term wear)

  • Choose the suitable size sticky tab, press it firmly and remove the extra tab for short-term wear.

Option 3) Sticky Tabs And Nail Glue Combo (Mid-term wear)

  • First apply the sticky tabs to your natural nails, then add a small amount of glue on top of the tab before firmly pressing and holding the fake nails in place.

Step 3: Apply and Press!

When applying Glowberry nails, hold them at a 45-degree angle and press down firmly for 20-30 seconds, making sure to smooth out any air bubbles that may be present during the application process.

Tips!

Do not touch your nails with your fingertips after you've wiped them with the alcohol pad.

Make sure to choose the right size for your nails that aren't too large or too small.

To make your press-on nails last longer, try to avoid working with your nails for 5 minutes and contact with water for 1 hour after putting them on. This will really extend the wear time of the sticky tabs or glue.

Press the nails for 90 seconds for an extra strong hold.

How do I select the right nail size?

Your Glowberry press-on manicure kit comes with 15 different sizes of nails so you can find the perfect fit for each of your fingers. Just press the artificial nail over your natural nail before applying the glue. If it doesn't quite cover your nail bed, try a different size!

How do I remove Glowberry press-on nails?

Removing your press-on nails is easy and can be done without damaging your natural nails by soaking them in hot water mixed with soap and oil (such as cuticle oil, kitchen oil or body oil) for 10-15 minutes.

After soaking them in water, carefully lift the sides of the press-on nails with the cuticle stick. If the artificial nail still holds strong, soak for another couple of minutes.

The time it takes to remove the nails may vary depending on how much glue was used and how long they have been on

Why did my nails come off?

When some of your press-on nails are coming off before others, it's likely because the glue wasn't applied consistently to each nail. To fix this, simply add more glue to your natural nail and a small amount on the back of the artificial nail before reapplying it.

Be sure to review the preparation and application instructions to ensure you are following the process correctly. Proper preparation and following the instructions is essential for achieving a long-lasting, professional-looking manicure.

I have a green spot on my nail - what is it and what to do about it?

The green spot on the nail is not nail fungus, but algae (Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria), which occurs when moisture stays under the nail for a long time. This can happen, for example, when there is a gap under the artificial nail/press-on nail or due to incorrect maintenance techniques.

It is possible that the shape of your own nail did not match the shape of the press-on nail, and this created air between your nail and the press-on nail. If you notice a green spot, the press-on nail must be removed immediately and the dark area on the surface of the nail should be lightly sanded, removing unevenness.

It is important to keep the damaged nail clean and dry and without any covering. At least twice a day, the nail should be soaked in a solution of food vinegar for a couple of weeks. It should be taken into account that the stain on the nail only grows out within a few months.

For prevention, you should always choose suitable press-on nails and make sure that the installation is correct and according to the instructions. Be sure not to forget to clean the nail plate with the included patches - so ensure that the nail plate is clean during installation!
